Scenario: An imaginary event management company’s
requirement for making a series of induction videos for their fresh
recruits/interns.
Written below is the script for one of the videos
where employee’s growth is concerned.
Your Growth
Hi again! Hopefully
up until now you have got a clear idea about the courtesies and etiquettes that
you need to focus on at your job at XYZ Co.
Your career is going
to start here if you start at XYZ Co. but it could go anywhere once you get in
these doors. We care about our employee’s personal growth as much as we care
about the growth of our company. And that is why we have set some parameters
which are going to be the ladder to your growth. So let’s have a look at it:
1)
Discipline:
We give special significance to discipline here, to keep in check the
smooth functioning of the organization. You might have seen people caught up at
office for hours even after their assigned working time. Well, good news! That
is not gonna happen here! We give equal importance to leaving on time as we
give to being in the office on time.
2)
Job Sheet:
We have a protocol at our workplace where everyone is supposed to update
the job Sheet with the task completion status in detail before you leave for
the day. This works as an efficiency tracker for you.
Moreover, you need to update your jobs for the next day right away by
referring to the checklist. This helps in keeping your work sorted.
3)
Completion of Jobs:
The ‘to-do’ list that you made the day before, is followed by the actual
completion of the jobs on the next day. The job scheduled for the day should
strictly be completed. Leaving with unattended jobs is forbidden.
If the reason your job is incomplete is not getting the reply from the
vendor after you’ve approached him, you have to inform your leader about it. And
if delayed information from the team is the reason, you need to constantly inquire
as your job will be overdue and you’ll not be permitted to leave until it’s
done.
4)
Mails/calls/messages:
XYZ Co. is punctual concerning communication with their clients and
others. There are uncompromising protocols regarding replying to the messages.
The person approaching us via Mail should be responded to, within 24 hrs. The
WhatsApp messaged or SMS should be attended within 3-5 hrs.

Checklist:
This is going to be your calendar where all the event bookings and other
work related stuff will be mentioned. Perusing it daily without fail is
extremely crucial.
6)
Team meeting:
Healthy and regular communications with the teammates assures upsurge in
growth. You’ll be encouraged to work productively if you connect frequently
with your colleagues. You’ll acquire a vivid idea of the ‘what’, ‘when’,
‘where’, ‘how’ and ‘whys’ if you do so. The team leader will be supportive of
you and will be concerned about your opportunities of growth. That is why
sitting with your team leader daily is very important. If organizing a team
meet is not in your hands and you are awaiting for the response since long, do
not hesitate to warn with a red alert mail. If you do as directed, we can
assure you a glorious future with us.
7)
Climbing the ladder:
Being at XYZ Co. get multiple
opportunities to develop your career based on your performance. You will
experience a fast-paced environment where you grow fast, get challenged and
push yourself to the next level.
The criteria for your promotion is based on your KRA score. Over 3
months, if your average score is between 3-3.5, the position of Jr. Executive
will be waiting for you. Average score ranging from 3.5-4 will lead you to
bring Sr. Executive.
Now, How do we determine your KRA score?
The answer is simple. Every time you add the value of 2 lacs to the
company by bringing business, “.25” will be added to your average KRA score.
Because

motivate you as well to grow.
